From its founding in 1907 by Jacob Sitkin, Sitkin Smelting and Refining, Inc. was a small, family owned business. It's a junk business, grown up into a "secondary metals recycling" enterprise. Jack Sitkin is the third generation of the Sitkin family to have made his living in junk.
